Funny Christmas Cartoon: Pit Stop

This Christmas cartoon came to me as a general curiosity. The man “Santa” rides around all night consuming massive amounts of cookies and milk all night, where does he relieve himself? I mean it can’t be healthy to hold it all night so where does he do his downloads? His vehicle does not appear to be outfitted with an outhouse so the only logical conclusion I came up with is the occasional pit stop at people’s houses or possible a roadside rest stop every now and then. Here is a cartoon I did for the Halloween spirit. I remember when I was a kid thinking there was something awful under my bed and in the middle of the night I would leap from the bed to go to the bathroom and take a flying leap to get back in. Funny how I felt once in bed there was no way that ugly monster was going to come out from under there and take care of me in his monster way. Obama Cartoons: Waffling Explained

I came up with this cartoon after the subject of waffling came up in conversation after one of my previous cartoons. It came up that it was not Obama who waffles on some of these things it is the Teleprompters and so you have it, another cartoon is born. I also did some research on the term “waffling”. Why you ask……well it just seems like a strange word to attach to someone changing their mind back and forth….that’s all. What I mean is how does a tasty breakfast dish get sucked into what has become such a sometimes derogatory name plate? Anyway, I could find all kinds of reference on who was waffling on this or that but nothing really on how it first came to be used as an “I changed my mind” term. If anyone could enlighten me on that…..it would be cool. Enjoy and have a great day.

Health Care Reform Cartoons: Speed Legislating

I did this cartoon as a result of a story I watched or read the other day……sorry I have been doing a lot of both lately. Anyway, the basics of it were that Healthcare reform needed to be done now and quick….rush…..rush…..rush…..fast….fast…..fast but none of the benefits of all this speed legislating would actually take effect until 2013. Hummmm…..Ok. So maybe someone needs some time to set it up and make sure it’s running right but wait. Taxes for the program start immediately…..time out, three years of taxes but no benefits, now that’s a big Hummm. Sounds a little like…..”Wait….no…..don’t say it.” Yes folks…..it sounds a little like the beginning of a brand new Super Duper……..Ginormous…….. Bernie Madoff dwarfing……..Ponzi scheme. Anyway, you make your own call on the current state of HealthCare Reform….I’ll just keep drawing goofy pictures. I also found a video clip that illustrates what I am saying here perfectly…..check it out. I think you will get a chuckle out of it.

Halloween Cartoon Character: Mel the Mummy

Meet Mel, He is a Mummy from the “Death Valley”. He is a character that I had made a while ago and one of the leading roles in a comic strip I’m still thinking about doing called “Death Warmed Over”. During the time that I have been thinking about the strip he has gotten a few modeling gigs through his agent “Count kid-u-la”. The Un-dead are a pretty tight group as it turns out. Anyway, I let him know that given the length of time it has taken me to determine if he will score a staring roll in my comic strip, I would do him a solid and throw up some of his products on the Blog. He let me know that it would be fine for now but I’d better give him an answer by the fall next year because he is being considered for an animation deal and if I didn’t get my butt in gear he would have to take it, if offered. The Un-dead are also pretty serious about their careers as well. Enjoy and have a great day.
