Finished this one this morning and thought I would throw it up. Sorry it doesn’t give any insight to the age old question of “which came first” but I am happy to say it does give some indication of how the argument might end. Enjoy and have a great day.
I was thinking about procrastination the other day and the amount of work I have piling up, meaning sketches of possible cartoons that have been sitting idle for about a month now. I just open them and look at them and think…..I’ll do it later. That combined with my limited experience with therapy gave me the idea for this one. Enjoy and have a great day.
I haven't been doing much in the area of posting these day's and thought I would throw up something for the heck of it. I'm not sure how funny it is but the idea morphed out of some random sketching I was doing the other day and this is where I decided to take it. Enjoy and have a great day.
A cartoon image of a Cow and Farmer getting along swimmingly for this incredible opportunity to be on Best Friend Forever Gear as presented by Nopolymon Graphics. Mr. Farmer is content to be on the farm but Cow has aspirations of being a television news anchor on a major network and thought this would be a great opportunity to get some face recognition out in the marketplace. They graciously aloud us into their home and showed us their quaint little farm, of the hundreds of photos taken we thought this captured the essence of their friendship the best. Cow, as well as being perfectly photogenic, has an absolutely enchanting voice and graced us with her utterly incredible rendition of “Home on the Range”. We wish them the best and hope Cow finds her goal of television news anchor within reach soon as well as we hope you enjoy this photo of a couple of Mid-West Best Friends Forever.
I did this cartoon as a result of having tried a couple of these type of make money from home schemes and as you might guess…..I didn’t make any money. Anyway, it did give me the idea for the cartoon because having tried a couple of these programs I guess my email address got put in the “sucker” pot. I started to get different offers to make more money than I ever dreamed of online without ever leaving the comfort of my own home. I started reading some of the materials I was being sent and noticed the legal disclaimers on them all were pretty much the same “results not typical, bla…..blaaaa…..blaaaa…..bla…bla”, so long story short. That was a couple of years ago and this idea popped into my head the other day so here it is.
This editorial cartoon came to me as a result of a couple of different things. I was listening to a radio program and the topic was “Draining the Political Swamp”. Basically the idea was to get rid of all incumbents and start fresh in the upcoming November elections. The thought process being that there are far to many in congress that have made it more about a political career and less about serving the people as originally intended. I personally see both upsides as well as significant risk in the idea. I do think that some balance of power exercise needs to happen in this upcoming election. No matter what side of the isle anyone leans toward, I don’t think any type of super majority is good in almost any situation but more specifically, between the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of our governmental system.
Anyway, back to the cartoon idea. The second thing that brought this editorial cartoon to light was listening to Nancy Pelosi talk about how she talked to kids including six week olds. I’m really not sure but I am fairly comfortable in saying that there are probably not a lot of six week olds out there that have the grasp of speech. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure I’m not. There is always the possibility that she misspoke but that seems to be more and more common place these days. Not just from Nancy but a whole host of people. That coupled with the Radio program led me to this cartoon. Enjoy and have a great day.
This editorial type cartoon came literally out of thin air. I was sitting there board out of my mind playing Bejeweled on Face book getting more and more frustrated staring at the screen and not being able to see any moves over and over and over again when I thought “I wonder if President Obama can cook?” Pretty crazy, don’t ya think? I did. Anyway, I took it a little further by making the assumption that he is able to cook and really enjoys baking. I have no idea if it is true or not but what the heck. I went on thinking about what he would bake. Who knows, could be some sort of pie, cookies or maybe even bread for that matter. Then I thought what would a full time politician who enjoys the thought of control and big government solutions possibly bake. My answer…….a big government surprise cake…..of course. It just made sense……well…..to me it did anyway. Mr. Obama ran into some problems with some of the ingredients thought as you can see from the cartoon. Enjoy and have a great day.
I was messing around with drawing cartoon bears and came up with this guy. I used it for a coffee mug design. He had a rough hibernation and an even tougher time waking from that hibernation. Enjoy and have a great day.
I was listening to the news the other day when this cartoon struck me square in the mind. They were discussing the recovery efforts, jobless claims, unemployment benefits extensions and things of that nature when someone uttered the phrase “jobless recovery”. It hit me a somewhat of an oxymoron type of statement, like jumbo shrimp, same difference or bittersweet. Although it does not quite fit the definition of an oxymoron it struck me as one just the same. I figure all those folks out there who are looking for work and have been for a long time probably would think something alone the lines of this cartoon. Anyway, that is how this cartoon came to life as far as the drawing but the exact wording did not come to me until I finished the cartoon and these two characters kind of came to life. I would add more of there conversation but it probably wouldn’t pass a G-rating test so I will leave it as it stands. Enjoy the cartoon and have a great day.
