Funny Obama Cartoons: Twitter Frustrations

I thought of this funny Obama cartoon as a result of a funny bit I heard on a radio talk show where the discussion was about speeches and the overuse of certain words by speech writers for the different presidents. The first example that was given was President Bush where there was a montage of different speeches and the word “comprehensive” was played over and over again. I thought it was pretty funny myself, then they moved on to President Obama and analyzed his speeches and so far it looks like the word “unprecedented” is going to be the word that ends up in a montage sometime later in his presidency. Anyway, I was thinking about it and imagining how difficult it would be to say or talk about something that would qualify as something “unprecedented” while using twitter. I think it would be a challenge. I’m not sure why I thought about it like this but I did and this funny Obama cartoon was the result. Enjoy and have a great day.

Funny Obama Cartoons: The Money Tree

I did this cartoon as a result of listening and reading some news reports about the dollar and its recent decline. I also was thinking about all the spending that is going on at a national and local level and allegedly there are talks of more stimuli being discussed beyond the first couple of rounds. I realize that dollars are being printed constantly and have been since before President Obama took office but since he’s the current President he gets to be in the cartoon. Anyway, I was thinking that some day down the road with all this printing going on there will be nothing left on the tree in a way, meaning that the dollar will be so diluted in the market place that it will be relatively worthless and it won’t really matter if the printing presses are going at break neck speed. What then? What will the answer to the problem be? That is where this cartoon idea came from. Enjoy the cartoon and have a great day.

Funny Obama Cartoons: Pick up a Mop

I got the idea for this cartoon from a speech that president Obama was giving in San Francisco I believe. I’m not sure of the place but Nancy Pelosi was mentioned so I just make that assumption. Anyway, in the speech he talks about being handed a mess and working on cleaning it up and says for the people who are criticizing the way in which he is doing it to “Pick up a Mop and help out”. Somewhere else in some other news report either before or close after that clip on the speech about the Mop there was a news report of talk about a second stimulus plan for the economy in congress. I thought it was interesting that any talk of more stimulus would be happening now only because the first stimulus, or I guess it would really be the second stimulus if you consider the TARP to be stimulus, has not been fully spent yet. I wonder what the plan is for the rest of the first stimulus. Anyway, those two things kind of collided together in my head and this cartoon was a result of that collision. Obama Cartoons: Waffling Explained

I came up with this cartoon after the subject of waffling came up in conversation after one of my previous cartoons. It came up that it was not Obama who waffles on some of these things it is the Teleprompters and so you have it, another cartoon is born. I also did some research on the term “waffling”. Why you ask……well it just seems like a strange word to attach to someone changing their mind back and forth….that’s all. What I mean is how does a tasty breakfast dish get sucked into what has become such a sometimes derogatory name plate? Anyway, I could find all kinds of reference on who was waffling on this or that but nothing really on how it first came to be used as an “I changed my mind” term. If anyone could enlighten me on that…..it would be cool. Enjoy and have a great day.

Political Cartoons: Will the real Obama please stand up

I did this cartoon as a result of a conversation I was having with someone. We were discussing the loss of the Olympics in the U.S.A. and why the President might have made the journey as he probably already knew that the U.S.A. was out of the running or maybe it wasn’t clear at that point. Who knows? Anyway, during this discussion, the U.N. speech also came up. The topic was the difference in the speeches. On one hand you had a President who was in some instances talking less than positive tone about the U.S.A. and other countries as well in some attempt to get some unity I’m sure. Then a week or two later you have the sales pitch for the Olympics where the U.S.A. and more specifically Chicago was the cat’s meow. It was probably the short time between the two speeches but it struck me as nothing more than pandering to whatever audience happened to be there. Anyway, that’s where this cartoon came from. Harry Reid Cartoons: Nuclear Options and Nobel Prizes

This cartoon came to life when I heard that President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. I thought that was very interesting given that he has talked about what he would like to do and started laying groundwork for those plans but none of it is complete yet and no one really knows if it will lead to a significant enough result to warrant the “Nobel Peace Prize” or at least what I used to think a “Nobel Peace Prize” was all about. Anyway, that, combined with all the talk about using the “nuclear option” on Healthcare Reform led to the creation of this cartoon. Let me say this to be fair, I have not seen or heard Mr. Reid use the term “Nuclear Option”, I believe he called it “Reconciliation option” which both parties have spun into the “Nuclear Option” term when it is politically convenient for them to do so probably because it sounds so scary. It just works better in this cartoon so I figure if they can use it for their political ends, then I will use it for my humor ends. Enjoy and have a great day!

Obama Cartoons: Obama and Ahmadinejad Talk Timetables

I got the idea for this cartoon while listening to all the media coverage of the U.N. stuff and Iran’s new but not so new facility that apparently has been known about for some time or at least the building of it has been known. Now that it is complete its news I guess. Let me see if I can follow the logic here. They are building a facility, we know they are, they know we know they are, they put a big message on the roof of it for all satellites to see and this is where they are developing a nuclear bomb……..O.K. if you say so. It just seems more likely that the development of bomb grade material would be someplace a little more secret. Who knows? Anyway with Ahmadinejad firing off or excuse me, “testing”, missle systems and the timing and all, this cartoon popped in to the front of my mind. Enjoy and have a great day!
